Background and Experience

Rusty Lawson grew up in West Texas with family ties to farming, cotton ginning, and agricultural lending. Summer work with his family and farmers in Lynn County gave him an early connection to production agriculture.

He joined Chas. S. Middleton and Son in November 1995 and graduated from Texas Tech University in May 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics, with an emphasis in real estate.

Brokerage and Appraisal Experience

Rusty combines farm and ranch brokerage with rural appraisal, specializing in West Texas farmland. His experience in regional land markets helps buyers, sellers, and landowners evaluate agricultural properties.

He is an associate real estate broker and a Texas state-certified appraiser.

Beyond the Brokerage

Rusty lives in Lubbock with his wife, Julie, and their sons, Kylar and Cade. His interests include baseball, calf roping, and training calf horses. His family’s cowboy traditions emphasize hard work, doing your best, and keeping your word.
