Background and Experience

Layne Walker’s roots reach back to eastern New Mexico and his family’s South Texas ranch, where he spent his early years working and hunting. During high school and college, he also worked on farms in eastern New Mexico.

Layne attended Southern Methodist University on a football scholarship before transferring to Texas Tech University, where he continued playing football and earned degrees in finance and real estate.

Brokerage and Business Experience

After college, Layne returned to Dallas and worked in steakhouse franchise operations across Texas and neighboring states. He later worked in the insurance industry before returning to ranch real estate in 2006.

A Texas associate broker, Layne combines his agricultural upbringing with experience in business operations and real estate when working with ranch buyers and sellers.

Beyond the Brokerage

Layne lives in Dallas with his wife, Sonya. His interests include golf and hunting, which he enjoys sharing with his sons.
