Price Palo Duro Canyon Ranch

The ranch is located south of Claude, approximately 25 miles southeast of Amarillo, Texas.

The topography of the ranch is extremely diverse. Rugged hillsides and slopes make up much of the terrain. Expansive mesquite flats are common through the bottoms with some country on top of the Caprock Escarpment. Cedar is the principal cover through the breaks. There is approximately 900' of elevation change on the ranch.

Water

The ranch is watered by electric submersible water wells, windmills and pipelines with drinking troughs. Additionally, over three miles of the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River flows through the central portion of the ranch. There are several seasonal creeks on the ranch through the rugged breaks that feed into the river.

Access

Access is provided by a substantial amount of paved highway frontage.

Hunting/Recreation

This is an excellent area for wildlife. Mule deer, aoudad sheep and turkey are common. This is also a good area for migratory bird hunting.
