Typically, half of the cultivated land is planted in grain sorghum in the summertime and the other half is planted in winter wheat for grazing and hay production. The ranch is well fenced and cross-fenced into multiple pastures. The average rainfall in this area is approximately 18.4 inches per year.
There are nine water wells on the ranch that are used for livestock water. There are also five earthen tanks, and all but one is stocked with fish. It is reported the fishing is excellent.
