Background and Experience

Mickey Nixon joined Chas. S. Middleton and Son in the summer of 2024 after a thirty-year career with Capital Farm Credit. As Regional Chief Appraiser, he led the organization’s appraisal team in western Texas and developed extensive knowledge of regional land markets and value trends.

Mickey grew up in Schleicher County on a farming and ranching operation established by his family in the late 1890s. He earned a finance degree from Angelo State University.

Brokerage and Appraisal Experience

Mickey holds a Texas real estate license, general appraisal certifications in Texas and New Mexico, and the Accredited Rural Appraiser designation through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

His practice includes farm and ranch valuations for estate planning, settlement, and other matters, as well as representing buyers and sellers in agricultural and recreational land transactions.

Professional Service

Mickey has served as president of the Texas Chapter of ASFMRA and has participated as a panelist in the Texas Real Estate Research Center’s Annual Outlook for Texas Land Markets. His work reflects an appreciation for both agricultural land values and the families whose livelihoods and histories are connected to those properties.
