Mickey joined Chas. S. Middleton and Son in the summer of 2024 after a 30-year career with Capital Farm Credit where, as Regional Chief Appraiser, he led Capital’s appraisal team in the western half of Texas and developed a broad base of knowledge on regional land markets and value trends.
Mickey holds the Accredited Rural Appraiser designation through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, a Texas real estate license, and general appraisal certifications in Texas and New Mexico. He received a finance degree from Angelo State University.
As an active member of the appraisal profession, Mickey has served as the president of the Texas Chapter of the ASFMRA and is a frequent panelist at the Texas Real Estate Research Center’s Annual Outlook for Texas Land Markets.
Raised in Schleicher County, Texas on a farming and ranching operation established by his family in the late 1890s, Mickey appreciates the historical legacy of the farm and ranch industry. Mickey’s practice consists of valuation assignments of farm and ranch properties for estate planning, settlement, and other matters and representing buyers and sellers with their agricultural and recreational land transactions.
