In areas tree cover is thick, offering plentiful cover for native wildlife. A few mesquite and cedars are found throughout the ranch as well.

The creek is lined by massive mature pecan, and other hardwoods and conifers. Chappell Creek heads in southeastern Comanche County and runs seven miles northeast to its mouth on the Leon River. The creek is generally fed by springs and at times will flow a good deal of water. Typically, holes of water are found in the creek throughout this property.
There are several areas that were once in coastal bermuda that are now growing back into a more native grass pasture. Overall, the ranch offers about a 50/50 blend of open country and dense timbered pasture.
