Brazos River Farm and Ranch

The Brazos River Farm and Ranch is located northeast of Post in Garza County.

This scenic property has a varied terrain that combines productive river bottoms with fertile cropland. The pasture portion of this small ranch has two nice ponds, one of which is stocked with fish and is equipped with a floating dock. The river flows through the property for approximately one-half mile. The native grasses are in excellent condition.

Approximately 100 acres are currently in cultivation. This farm has generally been planted to grain sorghum or wheat.

 

Water

The ranch is watered primarily by two dirt tanks both located in the native pasture portion of the property. The river flows through the property in a southerly direction and is considered to be year round live water.

There is an electric water well located on the cultivated farmland portion of the property that is reported to have been recently tested at approximately ten gallons per minute.
 

Access

Access to the ranch is by maintained county roads.

 

Hunting/Recreation

The property is located in an area known to have good populations of whitetail and mule deer. Turkey are very common and frequent the cultivated fields that are located above the river bottom where they roost.
 

Improvements

The ranch is completely fenced and cross fenced. Fences are in overall good condition.
