Ben spent 20+ years at Cardinals Sport Center; team sales that included providing high schools and colleges their athletic equipment needs; territory covered West Texas/South Plains. This seemed like a natural fit since Ben played football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1988-92.

Third generation land owner, ranches located in Garza County (TX), Crosby County (TX) and San Miguel County (NM). Ben was born and raised on a ranch just outside of Post, Texas. This cow-calf ranch life has been in the family since 1921. He enhjoyed the working ranch life and quickly learned how to manage the land, comprehend the animals that inhabit the ranch along with gaining core knowledge of the grasslands and plants.

Graduated from Texas Tech University in 1993 with a BS in RLM (Recreational & Leisure Management) with a concentration on Range and Wildlife Management.

Ben married Tamara in 1998 and they have three boys: Jake, Jordan and Jackson. In their spare time, they hunt and fish together. Ben manages the deer population as well as books hunts for all three Kirkpatrick ranches.
