Hunting

This extremely unique property is located between the ranching communities of Guthrie and Benjamin in King County, in the Rolling Plains Region of Texas. This outstanding ranch has everything that the sportsman could desire including diverse topography, live water, sculpted brush cover and extremely functional structural improvements.
The Quinlan Ranch boasts outstanding big game hunting, rivaled by few, if any ranches in New Mexico. The ranch is located in a favored corridor through which elk migrate from Colorado to Rio Chama each fall and return in the spring.
With the fall comes opening day of several popular hunting seasons across the state.  For Texas landowners, this often means entering into hunting lease agreements that generate added income for the operation.  Under Texas law, a landowner leasing private property for hunting in return for any type of compensation is required to obtain a Hunting Lease License from Texas Parks and Wildlife  (“TPW”).  Note, this is separate from a hunting license that the hunter must possess.

Four Main New Mexico Big Game Rule Changes

The upcoming year offers some significant changes in the New Mexico Big Game Hunting landscape. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish has made four different big game rule changes for 2019.

An array of wildlife suitable for hunting may be found on national forests and grasslands. Hunting is a seasonal activity, and the rules are simple: Follow the state laws and regulations pertaining to hunting, including seasons, dates and licensing.
